TITLE: IT Helpdesk Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support as the first point of contact for the IT Help Desk. Ability to escalate as appropriate.
- Perform computer device imaging and troubleshooting on an as-needed basis.
- Carries out supplementary IT Tasks, such as various technology installations, and project assignments from Immediate supervisor or, and third-party vendor interaction.
- Respond to end users' issues via phone, email, and computer chat.
- Provide customer assistance.
- Document end user's interactions.
- Run diagnostics to resolve end users reported issues.
- Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Follow-up with end users to ensure issues are resolved.
- Install software that is created to protect sensitive information, such as firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Monitor the company's networks to keep an eye out for any security breaches and investigate if one does occur.
- Research the latest in information technology security trends to keep up to date with the subject and use the latest technology to protect information.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- CompTIA A+ Certification, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working in a Help Desk environment.
- Proficiency with MAC and IOS computers.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Detail oriented in order to keep detailed notes on tickets.
- Highly organized to keep Help desk tickets in order.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues.
- Reliability - Consistently meets deadlines, follows up and effectively uses time.
- Initiative - Demonstrates resourcefulness and independence in carrying out responsibilities and assignments.
- Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED ideally working towards a postsecondary degree
- 2 years of various technical support roles experience.
- Applicable education with experience in test environments will be considered as well.
Physical Demands:
- Required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
- May be subject to sitting for long periods of time to perform job scope.
Work Environment:
- Work will generally be performed in an office environment.
- May be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
- Background checks and drug tests required
- Extended hours may be required.
- At times may be required to work hours other than the regular schedule
- Valid driver's license required
