Robert Half is currently working with a client hiring a Help Desk Support Analyst. The Help Desk Support Analyst will be analyzing a variety of data types and reporting on that information. The Help Desk Support Analyst responsible for collecting information through a customer conversation, accessing support tools, and additional support staff. This Help Desk Analyst position is for someone who is deadline driven and highly analytical.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for basic incident resolution and requests reported to the division’s service desk
- Initial assessment, research, and resolution of basic incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and/or infrastructure components
- Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature
- Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment
- Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software
- Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization
- Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems
- Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions
- Assisting in the delivery of various IT related projects
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent business experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to assess customer needs and translate them into relevant solutions
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- High attention to detail as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Windows 7, 8 & 10 operating systems
- Windows Server 2016, 2019 a plus
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- PC/Mac software installation and maintenance
- PC/Mac Troubleshooting
- Familiar with LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies(e.g. Cisco, Dell) and support
- Knowledge of analog/VoIP phone technologies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends & off-hours)
