Job Title: Help Desk Coordinator
Job Description
Summary:
Provide technical and software support for computer system users, including but not limited to Allscripts PM and EHR applications. Answer questions and coordinate the resolution of application related issues. Help maintain the Allscripts master files, including but not limited to: insurance, procedures, procedure rates, diagnosis, and logins. Provide application training, and account management.
Specific Duties:
- Provide application support to physicians, PHO/PMI and office staff.
- Manage Account access for core and peripheral applications and websites.
- Train Core Practice Management and Clinical applications.
- Evaluate, test, and recommend changes on Allscripts software releases.
- Enter Allscripts master file requests for new Insurances, Rates, Procedures and Diagnoses.
- Log support calls to Allscripts as needed to escalate support issues.
- Document processes, procedures, and problem resolutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Technical Skills Required:
- Experience with medical software applications, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Good understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Good understanding of medical terminology including Insurance Policies.
- At least 1 year medical office experience preferred.
- Good understanding of computers and ability to learn new software programs.
- Ability to work in a team and share experience/knowledge.
Interpersonal Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Exhibit professional behavior.
