Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Summary: Seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform field level automotive maintenance on a variety of heavy machinery, with a focus on material handling equipment.

Requirements:

• Experience in field level maintenance on US military automotive equipment.

• Ability to interpret and apply technical instruction, schematics, and diagrams.

• Possesses personal tools that meet the required tool list.

• Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC) requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous expertise with military equipment.

• EPA certification in Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Program compliant with section 609 of the Clean Air Act.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field level automotive maintenance on all equipment assigned or work-loaded to the assigned shop, primarily material handling equipment including military and commercial forklifts, cranes, bull dozers, tractors, earth movers, and mine sweepers.

• Conduct Technical Inspection, diagnostics, parts identification and requisitioning in accordance with technical specifications and specified repair times.

• Carry out A/C repair and service on a wide range of automotive and material handling equipment.

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $20.00 to $35.00 per hour
