Position: Heavy Truck Driver

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Pick up and deliver rotating equipment and parts to/from customer and vendor sites
  • Communicate effectively with the Logistics Manager, along with shipping/receiving, sales and service teams informing/updating them regularly to guarantee that customer objectives are met.
  • Receive replenishment orders and stock the warehouse
  • Pick various orders as directed by the pick tickets
  • Load LTL and truckload shipments as needed
  • Assist in coordinating daily deliveries and pick-ups
  • Remain flexible to restructure schedule as needed
  • Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Carry out pre-shift checks of equipment
  • Breakdown and restack merchandise from pallets during random audits
  • Verify the quantity of the products
  • Ensure items are picked accurately and safely to prevent injury or damage
  • Responsible for variation of all outgoing and incoming products for accuracy in terms of size, amount, and type
  • Keep work area tidy by picking up scrap wood, paper, plastic wrappers and broken pallets
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class B CDL driver’s license required at minimum, Class A CDL preferred, with a clean motor vehicle record
  • Able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate from a DOT certified medical examiner
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Familiar with the surrounding area and be able to read a map/guide
  • Requires knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
