Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in demolition, including operating various heavy construction equipment such as hammers, breakers, and compactors. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in shear work.
- CDL A Driver’s License, permit, or willingness to acquire one within an allotted timeframe after hire. Please specify if you already hold a CDL.
- OSHA 10hr certification, OSHA 30hr certification.
- Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor certification, MSHA certification, OSHA Hazwoper certification, Rigging certification are desirable.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in operating Heavy Equipment and adherence to safety standards.
- Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair Heavy Equipment.
- Self-motivated with strong task-oriented focus.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
- Effective leadership skills to provide direction in challenging situations.
- Experience in coordinating small crews of 2-6 operators and laborers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with Owner/Architect/Engineer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure adherence to budget, timeline, and schedule parameters.
- Collaborate with project manager for pre-job planning.
- Mobilize crew truck and job trailer as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment through toolbox talks and regular safety reviews.
- Coordinate material deliveries and track progress using production and job cost tracking software.
- Attend and effectively communicate with project stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for work, with weekends at home.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
