Heavy Equipment Operator Construction

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - Construction

Day shift - Monday - Friday

Pay based on experience $22 up to $30/hour

Job Description:

• Operation of heavy construction equipment in preparation of construction sites and highway projects
• Equipment including but not limited to; wheeled and tracked loaders, excavators, bulldozers, scrapers, articulating trucks, backhoe, rollers, both GPS and manual grading equipment
• Daily inspection of assigned equipment and assisting with servicing and maintenance of equipment
• Working on projects including but not limited to; mass excavation, fine grading, underground utilities and clearing land
• Coordinating with maintenance crew and other members of the team when necessary

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must have ability to read blueprints
• Basic math knowledge for grading
• Must have at least 4 years of experience operating Heavy Equipment
• Ability spend extended amounts of time on your feet, walking, physical labor and lifting
• Must have high school diploma/GED
• Must have valid driver's license and the ability to get to the jobsite each day
• Successful completion of drug screen and background check
• Good communication skills
• Must be safety conscious and adhere to all safety standards on the jobsite at all times
