BDI Marine and Site Contractors is a premier waterfront and heavy construction contracting group! We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Heavy Equipment/Boat Operator to join our growing team. To succeed in this role, this candidate must be honest, trustworthy, and most of all hard working.
**This position requires operating Heavy Equipment and occasional general labor duties**
Essential Job Functions:
- Operating Heavy Equipment such as Excavators and Dozers
- Proven experience operating Heavy Equipment in a professional setting
- Tasks include but not limited to, setting sheet pile, trenching, underground utility installation, and finish grading
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow workers to complete tasks and projects on time and within budget
- Maintain and clean the interior and exterior of machine
- Keep accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and maintenance activities
- Report an equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to supervisors promptly
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
Qualifications:
- Setting sheet pile/Pile-Driving experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Required Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to and from work

Experience:
- Heavy equipment operation: 3 years (Required)
- Marine Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
