Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of Heavy Equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other construction machinery.
· Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components.
· Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
· Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts used and work performed.
· Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly and efficiently.
· Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines during maintenance and repair activities.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, including equipment history and repairs performed.
· Communicate effectively with the supervisor and other team members regarding equipment status and required repairs.
Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Field Technician.
· Solid understanding of construction equipment, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training or certification in diesel mechanics is a plus.
Skills:
· Proficient in diagnosing and repairing Heavy Equipment.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Licenses and Certifications:
· Valid driver's license.
· Class A CDL License (preferred, but not required)
· Clean driving record
· Any relevant certifications in diesel mechanics or Heavy Equipment repair.
Compensation:
$30- $40 an hour based on experience
