Heavy Diesel Mechanic

A well-established mining company is currently looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in maintaining and repairing Heavy Diesel machinery, particularly in a mining or similar industrial setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
-Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all equipment.
-Efficiently manage work orders, including parts issuance, status updates, and detailed task descriptions.
-Organize and maintain parts inventory.
-Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, and handle engine/transmission repairs for various vehicles and equipment.
-Available for overtime and emergency call-outs as part of a regular rotation.
-Skills in cutting, brazing, welding, and fabrication.
-Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
-Essential skills in Diesel Mechanics and electrical diagnosis.
-Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
-2-year technical degree in mobile maintenance or 5 years of relevant work experience.
