Heating and Air Conditioning Installer

Full time HVAC position includes working with vendors, employees and customers on job sites located across Northeast Wisconsin performing work in commercial and residential applications to include: installation & replacements of systems. Also includes in all or part: electric/ LP/ natural gas, roof top units, split systems, boilers, in-floor heating, infrared, unit heaters, air handlers, humidifiers, air cleaners, Air Conditioning, venting, gas piping, wiring, balancing, controls & other misc. job duties. Responsibilities also involve project management, inventory, customer service, written and verbal communication, & problem solving. Travel for commercial work for 1-3 week at a time. Travel pay with peridium and bonuses.

Adjust system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
Assemble, position, and mount HVAC equipment, following blueprints or manufacturer's specifications.
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.
Connect HVAC equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant.
Maneuver completed roof units into position for installation.
Cut or drill holes in floors, walls, or roof to install equipment, using power saws or drills.
Develop or lay out patterns.
Fabricate ducts for high efficiency heating, ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to maximize efficiency.
Discuss HVAC system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify correct functions.
Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications.
Install auxiliary components to HVAC equipment, such as air ducts, pipes, dampers, flues.
Install dehumidifiers or related equipment for spaces that require cool, dry air to operate efficiently.
Install air purification systems, such as specialized filters or ultraviolet (UV) light systems.
Install controls for room-level zone control heating of residential or commercial buildings.
Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers.
Lay out and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using hand tools.
Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other occurrences on job orders.
Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Service HVAC systems such as by changing filters or filling refrigerants.
Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of equipment components and to ensure their proper installation.
Determine project requirements, such as scope, assembly sequences, or required methods or materials, using blueprints, drawings, or written or verbal instructions.
Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
Fasten seams or joints together with bolts, cement, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components into products.
Transport prefabricated parts to construction sites for assembly and installation.
