Please read the full job description, this role is different from traditional sales roles including responsibilities, time commitment, and compensation structure.
About Us
Uplevel Health is developing an AI-powered revenue intelligence suite that can automate billing operations for healthcare practices end-to-end. We're able to do this by leveraging the latest advances in generative AI (ex: Large Language Models) along with several other engineering techniques.
Traditionally, healthcare practices have either hired & run an operationally intensive billing teams in-house or outsourced to billing agencies (which outsource work offshore). Each of these approaches have resulted in errors, lack of follow-ups on claims, and a negative impact to the clinic's bottom line.
Our AI suite is able to automate full-cycle billing for clinics more accurately, quickly, and reliably than any of these alternatives. It focuses on intelligently reducing denials, automating prior auths & appeals, and improving collections so that clinics can improve their bottom line on autopilot (while also eliminating the administrative burden of managing in-house/outsourced billing teams).
We've received a staggering amount of interest in our solution because traditional healthcare revenue cycle management is one of the biggest challenges that nearly every practice faces.
An Exemplary Team
We have a world-class team, bringing together AI product leaders from top tier companies like Google who've developed revenue intelligence products unlocking $300M+, medical advisors from Stanford & Mount Sinai, and technology experts from the fastest growing RCM companies in history.
About This Role
We're looking for an ambitious Sales Representative who has experience in healthcare SaaS or AI sales. Our ideal candidate has strong relationships with a number of small-medium size group practices (1-30 providers).
This role is meant to be part-time to start, and can be pursued alongside other positions you're already pursuing. It's fully remote, and highly flexible so you can figure out the right balance that works for you.
The role has a gradual ramp up period. It's meant to be started first in an advisory capacity to our product team (1-2 hours per week), so it doesn't require leaving your current job. This initial phase of the role can also be used to assess whether this position is the right fit for you.
We're looking for a candidate who's driven, eager to work in a fast-paced environment, and ready to be a strategic advisor & partner as we build this business together.
Role Responsibilities
This role is different from traditional Healthcare Sales roles and comes with several unique benefits & responsibilities:
- Identify & connect our product team with leads i.e. small-medium sized healthcare practices that are struggling with their billing and that we can solve a genuine problem for.
- Let the product team handle sales pitches and closing the client, but offer them advice/guidance as needed in the process.
- Suggest feature ideas to our team of engineers as they build the product.
- Receive a revenue share for clients you bring in.
- Work remotely with flexible hours.
Compensation
Please note that this is not a typical salaried position, it is based on a revenue sharing model and is meant to be pursued part-time (with the possibility of converting to full-time in the future). The salary range listed on this job posting may not be completely accurate. We estimate that the income you earn will be greater than the salary range listed on this position, but please ask us for more details during your interview.
The compensation for this position is entirely incentive based pay, but it's not traditional incentive based pay. It's recurring incentive based pay. That means that for each client in your book of business that we sign, you'll earn a recurring revenue share every single month. We believe this is a more empowering payment structure that allows our Sales Representatives to build wealth over time (as opposed to traditional salaried pay where earnings can cap out at a certain level), especially given the pent up demand for our solution in the market (see "Current Stage & Timing").
Current Stage & Timing
Uplevel Health is a startup and our AI suite is currently under development. It will be launching later this year in 2024 to partner clinics. By joining at this stage, you'll have the opportunity to learn & grow with the company, influence key decisions in formative stages of building a groundbreaking product, and share in greater financial upside as the company grows rapidly (ex: via recurring revenue shares).
Working with us is very different than working with other MedTech / HealthTech companies because RCM is the #1 challenge for most healthcare practices, and they've been waiting for an AI solution like ours to finally alleviate their leaked revenue, cash flow, and operational challenges. There's a lot of pent up demand to capture. And as opposed to a 1 time sale, we're a recurring solution they need every month that's vital to their practice staying afloat.
