Overview:
The Healthcare Purchasing & Process Specialist oversees all pharmacy and laboratory vendors, medication purchasing, and internal logistics. This role is responsible for procuring medications and testing from our national pharmacy and laboratory vendors, while simultaneously negotiating competitive pricing and advocating for quality service. This position also oversees ongoing process improvement across departments, including communications and data transfer between our team members, our vendors, our clinic partners, and our clients. We are a client-centric company, and as such, all team members are expected to have solid customer service skills. Experience with medical purchasing, vendor relations, and process improvement is required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Establish and nurture relationships with national pharmacy and laboratory vendors.
· Negotiate competitive pricing, monitor product availability and delivery, and stay abreast of new product offerings.
· Manage medication orders, supplement orders, and orders for specialty lab testing.
· Audit vendor invoices for billing errors.
· Maintain the highest level of customer service through effective communication with clients as needed.
· Monitor, facilitate, and troubleshoot customer service calls related to process.
· Implement and document process improvements, while continually identifying opportunities for automation.
· Complete associated assignments and projects as directed by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Procurement, or a related field.
· Strong interpersonal skills with previous experience interfacing with customers.
· Strong phone skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
· Excellent organization and time management skills.
· Accurate data entry with exceptional attention to detail.
· Ability to effectively manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience with CRM and/or EMR software.
· Leadership and team management experience.
· Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with vendors, clients, medical providers, and internal team members.

Pay: $59,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
