Job Description
Seeking Outpatient Clinic Program Manager/Marketer (PMM) to support the marketing and community outreach efforts to increase the awareness and utilization of an outpatient Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medical Center. The PMM will collaborate with the center’s VP of Clinic Operations and the hospital marketing department to coordinate marketing specific events and implement strategies. The PMM will build relationships with referral sources such as individual physicians and physician groups, nurses, case managers, nursing homes and home health offices. The PMM will educate referral sources as to the services provided by the outpatient wound care center and the benefit these services yield to their practice and patients. The PMM will also be responsible for certain management duties.
Marketing Duties:
- Collaborate with VP of Clinic Operations to develop and implement marketing strategies
- Correspond with referral sources to develop and solidify relationships
- Hand deliver progress notes on all patients referred to the clinic to their referral source ensuring continuity of care upon admission, monthly and upon discharge
- Serve as a resource to help facilitate referrals to the clinic
- Understanding how to best utilize the marketing collaterals to promote the clinic
- Understanding the diagnoses treated in the wound care center to better educate the referral sources
- Monitor and report on referral sources’ satisfaction and help facilitate and resolve any problems
Management Duties:
- Provide day-to-day management oversight for outpatient clinic and HBO
- Ensure the policies and procedures are being utilized and followed accordingly
- Work with the team continuously to recognize and improve clinic flow to ensure that clinic is following best practices. Coordinate this leadership with the Medical Director and Clinical Coordinator
- Work with hospital representatives to ensure the clinic has access to appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Ensure the staff understands effective communication methods to facilitate the flow of information throughout the clinic and to all other health care entities
- Facilitate monthly staff meetings with all staff and the Medical Director
- Hold weekly quality meetings In conjunction with Medical Director, Clinical Coordinator and safety director
- Other necessary management duties
Qualifications:
- Have a Degree in Marketing, Business or Nursing or the equivalent to 2+ years’ experience of successful marketing or sales in the health care field
- Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with referral sources
- Ability to develop an effective marketing plan and act upon the plan to increase awareness and patient volume
- Computer Skills: OP wound care EMR, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
