Who you are:

As a Healthcare Economics Specialist for Johns Hopkins HealthCare, you eat numbers for breakfast! You tell your story best with data, supporting a myriad of business units throughout Johns Hopkins HealthCare. You are a problem-solver and can be counted on to be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate your data to all your key stakeholders

What you'll do:

• Develop healthcare trend analytics reports to support business operations
• Liaises between finance and IT to maximize effectiveness of data sources and quality
• Teaches and mentors junior staff to develop their technical and analytical problem solving skills
• Serves as a go-to for leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization to identify actionable insights as it relates to healthcare trend analytics
• Supports ad-hoc reporting and financial projects for business units throughout the organization
• Creates financial and predictive models to evaluate the feasibility and key success drivers for new contracts, renegotiations, and scoping network opportunities and initiatives

What you bring:

• Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets and relational databases
  • Financial/accounting and statistical concepts as well
  • SQL and Tableau experience highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, business administration or similar degree
  • Master's degree or professional designation in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technical subject highly preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information relevant to a project to senior management
