Title
Healthcare Administration Intern
This is a temporary position where the individual will perform various tasks in Bronson Health Foundation. The individual may be involved in routine or project work, data collection and entering, reviewing documents, or other various tasks as needed including occasional weekend and evening work at foundation events.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Currently or previously enrolled in a degree- or certificate-seeking program or vocational school
  • Must be proficient in working with computers and phone systems
  • Must also be organized and able to pay special attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to exchange information on factual matters, interact professionally with community members, colleagues, donors, and board members.
  • Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 60 and 80 percent of the time.
  • The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.

Overview of Expected Experiences and Skills Required:
  • Assist in Program Development and Coordination: Provide support in designing and managing community-oriented programs, focusing on ambassadorship and public engagement.

  • Event Planning and Execution Support: Play a supportive role in organizing and facilitating donor events, including logistics, guest relations, and post-event evaluations.
  • Documentation and Template Creation: Develop comprehensive templates and documentation processes for various projects, ensuring a structured approach for future initiatives.
  • Foundation Administration Observation: Gain insights into Healthcare Administration by shadowing the foundation's president, observing and learning about strategic decision-making and leadership.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach: Participate in community engagement activities, helping to foster relationships and enhance the foundation's presence in the community.
  • Research and Content Development: Assist in researching and developing content for various programs and initiatives, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
  • Adaptive and Flexible Approach: Display an adaptive and flexible approach to work, ready to take on varied responsibilities as required by the evolving needs of the foundation.
  • Ability to work with end user software specifications, hardware requirements and process improvement workflows.
  • Ability to create system documentation, project plans, and education materials.
  • Excellent telephone presence and interpersonal skills
  • Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
