Key Client Financial Analyst duties include the following:
- Performs financial analysis on behalf of clients, and provide consultation to clients around analytical findings.
- Typically supports other Account Managers, Account Executives, Producers and acts under their direction.
- Has direct customer contact.
- Projects, analyses, and/or assignments are less complex.
- Works independently on more routine/less complex assignments, and under the direction of a manager or Account Manager/Account Executive/Producer on more complex assignments.
- Responsible for conducting and documenting routine to moderate financial analysis projects for clients.
- Coordinates underwriting functions performed by outside consultants.
- Assists in the renewal rating process for the existing book of business.
- Provides support in the setting of rates and plan designs for group prospects.
- Assesses plan designs for changes and their financial implications.
- Coordinates with other departments and outside vendors with new and existing clients.
- Maintains data integrity with the multiple sources of data gathering.
- Provides analysis and recommendations for groups and rating scenarios.
- Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Produces and maintains documentation to support underwriting recommendations and rate calculations.
- Participates in projects and consulting.
- Maintains and monitors the quality, timeliness and deliverables.
- Facilitates and participates in calls and meetings.
- Provides basic level financial, contract and/or administrative analysis and peer reviews the work of colleagues.
- Performs basic data analysis (including but not limited to review of claims and utilization data and looking for trends and patterns).
- Abides by all internal compliance and disclosure requirements, external vendor contracts to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.
- Assists in client requests including problem solving on administrative and operations issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required. Strong PC and Microsoft application skills, including Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations
- Knowledge of networks, products, plan designs and terminology
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
- Ability to partner and deliver on project objectives
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- CA Health, Life and Accident Insurance preferred
