Functions as a clinical pharmacist to assigned patient care area and/or healthcare team member. Assist with institutional and departmental regulatory surveys as needed. Adheres to Federal State and local laws and other regulatory requirements regarding pharmacy and institutional practice.
Fills prescriptions and patient orders, resolves discrepancies in patient therapy, and follows-up on problems. Utilizes clinical data in evaluating physician orders to ensure appropriate therapy. Provides and documents drug information and patient counseling.
