Health Systems Account Manager-Clinical Solutions

About the Role

You'll work to maintain existing customer relationships, consisting of hospitals, healthcare systems, IDN's (Interated Delivery Networks), and home healthcare accounts. Calling on key stakeholders to measure and improve client satisfaction of our products. Providing analysis of usage and metrics, identify/mitigate issues, developing strategies, escalating appropriately, and collaborate with Sales Executives and Account Directors.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining effective long-term relationships and satisfaction with senior-level decision makers within assigned accounts. (Including major strategic customers.)

• Developing strategies focused on customer retention, risk mitigation strategies, and renewal maintenance. Achieving and increasing revenue targets per account, by creating demand for Elsevier's products.

• Identifying key contacts/decision makers within customer organizations, understanding their key priorities, and to driving value for our customers. frequently conducting Health Checks and Business Reviews.

• Serving as the main point of contact between potential customers and Elsevier. Advising and providing expertise on Clinical Solutions products based on the needs of key stakeholders.

• Collaborating with all internal stakeholders, cross functionally to support customer satisfaction and business needs. (Legal, sales operations, finance, credit control, commercial and product.)

• Developing and maintaining proficient level of knowledge on commercially available Elsevier products and performing effective product demos remotely. Promoting, driving and delivering product strategies.

• Collecting and entering customer information into our systems, providing accurate reporting/ forecasting of renewals, and following compliance procedures.

• Maintaining accurate product, service, and market trends, and leading the negotiations. (Price and contract terms ensuring a positive outcome for Elsevier and the customer.

Requirements

• Have a college education paired with successful Account Management, Project Management and/or Sales experience.

• Experience in field Sales/Account Management, cold calling, or inside account management, and selling technology-based products to hospitals or health systems.

• Experience with CRM SalesForce.com and Microsoft Back-Office systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.)

• Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, collaborate with teams to learn/share knowledge, design strategies to solve problems/implement solutions.

• Able to learn/improve industry knowledge and share insights with customers. While building and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers across the organization. Recognizing potential sales obstacles/recommend solutions.

• Display excellent presentation, communication, organizational, analytical skills, and customer-focused mindset.

• Able to travel overnight (up to 25% of the time) based on the needs of the business.
