The Grand Forks Senior Center is a challenging yet fun environment, working with senior citizens over the age of 60 who live in their own homes. The employees love their jobs because they know they are making a difference in the lives of senior citizens in this area.
Due to a retirement, the Grand Forks Senior Center is looking for a LPN or RN, licensed in the state of ND to join our team and provide services to senior citizens of Grand Forks and Nelson Counties. Scope of care is limited to these services: foot care inspection and toe nail clipping, medication set-up, blood pressure screening and rapid inspection.
Services are provided at the GF Senior Center, other community and senior centers and in client homes, for homebound individuals, in both Grand Forks and Nelson Counties. However, Nelson County and rural GF County services are limited to a few days per month and we have an agency vehicle for transportation to off-sites. These services are funded through Older Americans Act, Title III funding contracted through the state of ND Aging Services Division. Services are provided to eligible clients (aged 60+) on a suggested donation basis. Care is given in a caring and non-judgmental manner. No client is refused service due to the inability to pay. This position reports to the Health Supervisor who is a RN.
This is a full time 36 hours/week, benefitted position. Hours are generally between 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday; 8am-Noon on Friday. Some out of town clinics require a 7am leave time or don't get back until 5pm. No nights, weekends or holiday hours.
Starting salary is $27.25/hour for LPN; $29.50/hour for RN.
Please submit a cover letter, resume and application by February 1st to Colette Iseminger, Executive Director at the above address. Questions about the job can be directed to the Health Supervisor at 707-757-4868 or health@gfseniorcenter.org (or by clicking on the ''apply'' button).
