JOB SUMMARY: Manages medical records for patient care, research, and billing. Processes loose documents, ensures unique medical record numbers, and assists in various work areas. Requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of Medical Terminology, previous clerical and computer experience (Windows), and minimal typing proficiency of 45 wpm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages medical records, overseeing retrieval, processing, and routing.
- Performs document scanning.
- Processes and organizes loose documents received daily.
- Validates medical record numbers.
- Maintains files for adequate space.
- Meets established quantitative work standards to achieve departmental goals.
- Promotes a credible and professional image of the Downtown Health Plaza and the Medical Records Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
