Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Health Coach with Functional Nutrition training to join our team in our WomanWell division–a team of functional and integrative medicine practitioners, acupuncture, chiropractor, fitness coaches, physical therapists, and more. As a Health Coach at WomanWell, you will play a vital role in collaborating with patients to identify and achieve their health and wellness objectives. Using motivational interviewing techniques and a supportive approach, you will counsel patients on tailored food plans, guide them in setting realistic and achievable goals, offer insights and resources for tracking health outcomes, and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.
Requirements:Responsibilities:
- Partner with patients to identify and achieve health and wellness goals.
- Be comfortable with recommending and guiding patients through food plans, such as a Core Diet, low FODMAP Plan, or Elimination Diet.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive behavior change.
- Assist patients in setting realistic and achievable goals.
- Offer insights and resources to help patients track and measure health outcomes.
- Guide patients on specific stress reduction and mindfulness techniques.
- Address other major lifestyle components beyond nutrition, such as sleep quality, physical activity, and mental wellness.
- Conduct coaching sessions via virtual video visits and in person at our Maplewood and Woodbury locations and possibly at our Apple Valley location.
- Be tech-savvy, keeping up to date with relevant health and wellness technologies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support integrated patient care.
Qualifications:
- Training as a Functional Nutrition Coach or Registered Dietician is required.
- Additional training as a Health Coach is strongly preferred.
- Background in functional or integrative medicine is required.
- Enthusiasm for health and wellness.
- Personable and upbeat demeanor.
- Team player mentality.
