The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott NM Neuromodulation, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
What You’ll Do
This position Serve as main contact with medical insurance agencies to get authorization for all the implants from sales for Medical Devices Division.
Receives telephone calls.
Uses computerized system to gather information and confirm sales prompted by incoming calls.
Answer inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products/services.
Get all the documentation required from medical insurance agencies.
Process implants authorization with medical insurance agencies and hospitals.
Complete the forms 1500 and UV04 to bill the medical insurance agencies directly.
Make sure that forms completed have the appropriate CPT, procedures, and product codes.
Prepare quotations and develop contract negotiation with medical insurance agencies as participant provider.
Visit customers for claim status and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with all procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree. Preferred in Medical Billing
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong logical, analytical skills and independent judgment
Effective problem solving.
Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license. The position requires to drive own motor vehicle.

The base pay for this position is $13.40 – $26.80 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
