EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a Health Care Nurse Surveyor, you will be responsible for performing professional assignments to evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to long-term care providers and facilities. In this role, you will evaluate quality of care provided to residents in these facilities, and conduct complaint investigations relative to the quality of care, quality of life, and services provided to residents. You will perform your work through the application of knowledge, established methods, practices, procedures, policies, and regulations related to the various professional disciplines in the Health Care field. You may be assigned to function independently, with a partner, as a member of a team, or as the designated team coordinator during on site surveys.This position requires irregular work hours to meet department needs and frequent travel within Erie, Venango, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, Warren, Forest, Clarion, Elk, McKean, Jefferson, and Butler counties. You will be required to carry a cell phone and respond to complaints during off-hours. Statewide travel, overnight travel and flexible work hours are required in order to accommodate state and federal mandates. Interested in learning more? In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Jackson Center.
