Essential Function:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: administration and promotion of the program consistent with the goals and mission of the college, and consistent commitment to the recruitment of student-athletes. The candidate should have a complete knowledge of the sport and the ability to teach and motivate student-athletes to be successful academically and athletically. the candidate will ensure that all team athletes are certified to participate according to all institutional and NJCAA guidelines.

Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. At least three years of coaching experience, preferably at the college lever.
3. Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
4. Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment of student-athletes.
2. Organize and supervise practices.
3. Develop practice plans.
4. Set up and take down equipment.
5. Travel to scheduled contests with team.
6. Assist with ordering/inventory of all equipment.
7. Assist with scheduling and planning away contests.
8. Provide a high quality of moral and ethical leadership to student-athletes.
9. Participate in achieving department and college goals and objectives.
10. Understand and comply with all NJCAA rules and regulations.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Operated:
1. Computers and printers.
2. Photocopy machine.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

1.Paid as a stipend….$12,000 per season.
2. Official transcripts required prior to employment (if applicable).
3. Recommend hire will be subject to pre-employment screenings.
