Transylvania County Schools seeks a Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Brevard High School. Position is vacant for the 2024-25 school year, actual start date in advance of season TBD. Position is an extra-duty coaching position. Candidates who possess qualifications, credentials, and/or licensure suitable for relevant, potential teaching or other staff vacancies at the school or in the school system for the 2024-25 school year will be strongly preferred. - Proven experience as a Volleyball Coach at the high school level or above.
- Comprehensive knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and training methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in developing athletes both individually and as a team.
- Certification in coaching and relevant sport-specific credentials.

School Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and competitive volleyball program.
- Plan and conduct effective and progressive practice sessions.
- Evaluate and assess the performance of student-athletes.
- Collaborate with school administrators and athletic department staff.
- Promote academic success and character development among student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, rules, and regulations.
Community/Parent Relations:
- Cultivate positive relationships with parents, fostering open communication.
- Organize and attend regular parent meetings to discuss team goals, expectations, and updates.
- Engage with the community to promote the volleyball program and encourage participation.
- Attend school and community events to support student-athletes.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the volleyball program budget efficiently.
- Coordinate fundraising activities to supplement program funding.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to the athletic department.
Other Responsibilities:
- Coordinate team travel arrangements for away games and tournaments.
- Collaborate with feeder programs to ensure a seamless transition for incoming athletes.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with best practices.
- Participate in school-sponsored events and activities.
