Job Description:
As a Server at [Your Restaurant Name], you will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. Your main goal will be to ensure our guests feel welcome and are provided with outstanding service that matches the quality of our food. You will have a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering repeat business, and building relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort guests to their tables.
- Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding the menu and beverages.
- Take orders accurately and communicate with kitchen and bar staff effectively.
- Serve food and drink orders, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality presentation.
- Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages.
- Resolve any guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and make change as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and mise en place in serving and dining areas.
- Assist in setting up the dining area, including table arrangement and decoration.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Work closely with the rest of the team to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a server in a similar upscale or fine dining setting.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of menu offerings, wine, and spirits.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tables while maintaining focus and charm.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- A customer-oriented approach with the ability to build relationships and exceed guest expectations.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality or culinary arts is a plus.
