Job Description
What role will you play?
Our product, while comprehensive and thus attractive it is also very intricate and expansive requiring many pieces to be connected. A part of our job as a company is the make sure that the efficiency and progressive nature of our product is communicated in a way that enables potential clients to unlock a sense of peace behind the great decision that is Sopra Banking Software! Our Pre-Sales team leads this charge! Presales activities play a crucial role in bridging the gap between product knowledge and customer needs, helping sales team build stronger relationships with customers and close deals effectively. As the Head of Pre-Sales, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of presales consultants. Your role involves providing strategic direction, mentoring, and ensuring the team's alignment with the SBS's sales objectives. This position requires the ability to work cross-functionally with the sales, and product teams.
This role will be based out of one of our European offices (Paris, London or Brussels) so relocation will be required.
What will you be doing?
Team Leadership and Management
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor a team of high-performing presales consultants.
  • Set performance standards, conduct performance reviews, and manage the team's workflow.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them improve their skills and product knowledge.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.

Presales Strategy Planning and Execution
  • Develop and implement presales strategies that align with SBS's goals and client needs.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align presales activities with the sales cycle.

Sales Support
  • Support presales teams in developing and delivering presentations and demos that highlight SBS's solutions added value.
  • Provide technical and product expertise during sales meetings with prospects and existing customers.
  • Address customer concerns and objections, working to overcome barriers to closing deals.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential clients and develop strategies to engage them effectively.
  • Coordinate with Proposal Management teams to ensure all proposals and responses to RFPs accurately represent SBS's capabilities and strengths.

Market and Product Knowledge
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market changes, and the company's products or solutions to ensure presales strategies remain competitive.
  • Ensure the presales team is knowledgeable about the latest product developments.

Presales Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of presales activities, including customer interactions and progress.
  • Generate reports on team performance, customer feedback, and sales funnel metrics.

Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly review and improve presales processes. This could include implementing new tools or refining existing processes to enhance the efficiency of presales activities.
  • Gather and provide feedback to product development teams based on customer and market insights.

Qualifications
What do we require from you?
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of the software industry and the competitive landscape including knowledge of the latest trends and technologies
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in RFP's and RFI's, POCs
  • Experience working with global customers
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders
  • Good technology background and knowledge of system and application design
  • Proficiency in using CRM and sales tools

Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Love to work in an international environment and willing to travel as required

Education/Certification/License Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field and preferably a MBA in Finance or IT with a major in Finance.

Working Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a software or FinTech company in a presales or similar role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Preferred Experience:
  • Fluent in French

Pay Transparency: $175,000/annually
