About the Role: Your Journey Begins Here!

 

As the Head of HRIS and People Operations, you're not just leading HR Operations and HRIS teams; you're the orchestrator of magic, supporting the HR needs of over 6,000 Merlin Entertainments employees. Reporting to the North America People Hub Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our HRIS function – the very backbone of our HR operations.

Strategic Visionary:

  • Develop and execute the HRIS strategy in harmony with the organization's overall HR and business objectives.

Operational Dynamo:

  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of HRIS software, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

Innovation Trailblazer:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within HR using cutting-edge HRIS tools.

Project Maestro:

  • Lead HRIS-related projects from scoping to execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Data Sorcerer:

  • Analyze HR data to provide insights for informed decision-making at the senior management level.

Metric Marvel:

  • Define and track key performance metrics, reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of HRIS initiatives.

Service Excellence Guru:

  • Lead the HR Operations Team to provide exceptional support through an effective ticket management system.

Continuous Innovator:

  • Reevaluate Hub Operations Service Catalogue for meaningful, efficient support to the business.

Compliance Guardian:

  • Ensure effective processes for HR administrative support and compliance across North America.

Customer Delight Maestro:

  • Ensure the HR Contact Center delivers exceptional service, addressing inquiries and providing HR-related information.

Policy Architect:

  • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to align with employment laws and organizational needs.

About You: The Person We Need!

 

Experience Extraordinaire:

  • 7+ years of HRIS experience: You're not just seasoned; you're a maestro in navigating the complexities of HRIS.
  • 5+ years of HR Operations: With progressive management responsibilities, you've steered the ship towards excellence.
  • 3+ years leading a team: You've not only been in the trenches but have also led squads to victory.

Knowledge Navigator:

  • Multi-state labor laws: You're not just up-to-date; you're a savvy navigator in the ever-changing landscape of labor laws.

Educational Prowess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources: Or equivalent experience – you've got the academic chops to back your expertise.

Tech Guru:

  • UKG Pro & Dimensions experience: Preferred, because you're not just familiar; you're a virtuoso in HR software.
  • Power Automate knowledge: General knowledge preferred; you thrive on staying ahead in the tech game.

Service Excellence Maestro:

  • HR contact center/service center experience: Preferred – you understand the pulse of HR services.
  • HR shared services: Your preference, showcasing your commitment to delivering top-notch shared services.

Certification Warrior:

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR certification: Preferred – because you don't just meet standards; you exceed them.

Collaboration Dynamo:

  • Collaboration skills: You're not just a lone hero; you thrive in collaborating with various departments and levels across the business.

Communication Virtuoso:

  • Written and verbal skills: Strong is an understatement – you're a communication virtuoso.

Tech Savvy:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency: Advanced, because you don't just use them; you master them.

Safety First Superhero:

  • Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake, and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained.  Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
