Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in project/program management or consulting.
  • 5 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience crafting and delivering presentations for senior and executive audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in people management, with demonstrated coaching skills to uplevel along direct and indirect team members ability to run large, complex programs and the associated change management.
  • Experience with online advertising products/business.
  • Experience working with AI and ML systems or supporting operations.
  • Experience bridging operational and technical teams successfully. Demonstrated ability to speak to both technical and business stakeholders and users and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and delivery at a senior level.

gTech’s Analytics, Platforms and Tools (gAPT) leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to innovate Google's services and products into customer experiences that are so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all. gAPT partners closely with gTech service delivery, Product Management, and Engineering teams to simplify our products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users. As the Head of Global Strategic Programs, you will be responsible for the management of Strategic Programs powering Advertiser, Merchant, and Publisher customer success. You will lead our team of Program Managers that work on technology driven solutions in partnership with our service, product, and engineering teams across Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $206,000-$302,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful delivery of critical Strategic Programs across the gTech organization. This includes leading initiatives such as AI/ML Acceleration, collaboration enhancements (e.g., between Sales and Services), and strategic Annual Planning.
  • Design and manage the overall Program Management function, including the Global Operations Center (GOC) PgM model and management. Lead a team of 8 Googlers to enhance program management capabilities, and own the scaled delivery model the rough the GOC.
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with key teams or functions within the broader gTech and Product ecosystem. This includes collaborating with Ads Product, CorpEng, gTech Ads, gTech Strategy and Ops (gSO), gUP (Global User Platforms), and Sales Tools teams.
