Responsibilities/Job Duties :
1. Review claims files and inspect for quality handling providing coaching and feedback to employees.
2. Develop strategy, standards, initiatives, & processes to achieve organizational goals that successfully impact claims quality, improve claims service delivery, and support unit initiatives.
3. Implement and maintain continuous service improvements that support the Club’s Member Service Index, the Exchange Customer Service Index, and the Enterprise Member Relationship Management strategies.
4. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Executive staff, Group Managers, Unit Managers and other units to ensure cross functional support.
5. Develop and maintain operating budget and cost controls for the Claims Business Unit that positively impact the financial success of the Club and Exchange.
6. Motivate, mentor and develop a strong management team and ensure they seek, attract and hire the best staff to provide the highest quality claims service.
7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Education
BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
MA/MS/MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience
5+ years management experience directly supervising APD employees.
5+ years directly handling APD claims including the writing of Auto estimates.
Advanced knowledge of Auto claim contracts and case law.
Familiar with salvage processing and procedures.
Proficient in CCC One estimating platforms.
Strong adjudication and claims knowledge.
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies
Advanced oral and written communication skills required.
Advanced knowledge of policy application in claims required.
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Previously demonstrated comprehensive level of claims management skill required.
Advanced leadership/management skills required.
Advanced organization skills and previously demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and assignments required.
Advanced knowledge of the processes required to prepare and analyze financial reports, develop cost-benefit models, and create detailed written proposals/recommendations required.
Licenses / Certifications
Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record and minimum limits of Automobile insurance required.
Ability to obtain Adjuster’s licenses for all states where the organization does business.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$133,100.00 - $197,200.00
