SalaryThe swim staff is responsible for safety and overseeing group swim lessons in conjunction with our counselor staff for the summer day camp.
Entry Requirements:
- 21 years or older.
Current or previous certification in the following:
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
- Other Accredited Lifeguard Certification
- Swimming background knowledge
- Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills
- Decision-making skills
- Communication skills
- Leadership skills
Responsibilities:
Be familiar with American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim levels
- Ensure all class participants are visible and safe at all times
- Adapt your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants
- Ensure, and teach water safety.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by Camp Director
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
Work Location: In person
