- . A housekeeping manager, or Head Housekeeper, has overall responsibility for cleaning rooms, laundering bed linen, cleaning common areas, parking lot and writing up of any maintenance work . Ensure hotel standards and guidelines are met.
- Hiring and training new housekeepers: informs new employees of property regulations, inspects completed assignments, and requisitions supplies.
- Draw up duty rosters
- Inspect the maintenance of the facilities within their assigned areas, ensuring that the cleaning duties are done efficiently.
- Motivate the staff and keep their morale high.
- Organize maintenance and repair of guestrooms.
- Be responsible for the redecoration and refurbishing of rooms, lobbies, and so on.
- Provide a budget to the management, and undertake budget control and forecasting
- Reports to the General Manager.
