Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. As the lead Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences for small and large events on campus. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train all culinary personnel
- Monitor performance, achievement, and discipline of culinary staff
- Develop and cost recipes
- Ensure food quality, equipment maintenance, and safety and sanitation standards are met
- Purchase necessary products according to cost and quality guidelines
- Assist in menu planning, events, and sales process
- Interface with vendors and key service users in the organization
- Manage all food & beverage operations at the Sports Complex & Retreat Center including concessions at the Sports Complex and in the Wooden Family Fieldhouse
- Assist and direct kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery
- Identify and introduce new culinary technique
- Prepare meals and complete prep support as needed
Experience and Skills:
- Associates degree in Culinary arts
- 5 years of experience in culinary management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- ServSafe Certification (Training is available if needed)
