Job Overview: Coffee for Sasquatch is a small, Los Angeles based coffee shop that celebrates individuality. We are seeking a skilled baker that will be spearheading a new bakery program for our cafe in our beautiful new kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate creative baking techniques such as measuring, tempering, baking, whipping, icing, layering, juicing, and decorating
- Creating pastries daily
- Maintain food cost levels through purchasing and wastage control
- Skillfully operating commercial ovens, mixers, and other equipment
- Keeping work area clean, organized and stocked
- Participating in cleanliness and health code compliance of the bakery
Requirements:
- Experience in bakery required
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in preparing food
- Full Knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times
- Ability to be on one's feet for an extended period of time
