Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tanker Driver to join our team. As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting various types of liquids, such as fuel or chemicals, to designated locations. This is a critical role that requires attention to safety protocols and the ability to operate specialized equipment.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a tanker truck to transport liquids to assigned destinations
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Load and unload liquids using appropriate equipment, such as pumps or hoses
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or issues encountered
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Tanker)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tanker Driver or in a similar role
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials
- Ability to safely operate tanker trucks and other related equipment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
