Position Title: Chaplain
The PRN position will support our teams and patients in Palatka, St. Augustine and Deland.
Overview: The Chaplain ensures spiritual care services and bereavement support to patients and families in homes and institutional settings. This position also coordinates with interdisciplinary team and community clergy to provide directly or through coordination of appropriate spiritual assessment and support to patients and families. They also coordinate with local clergy as patients need. The Chaplain conducts religious services and rituals as appropriate, to provide support to patients and families and provides spiritual counseling for patients and families as needed to the extent not provided by the patient and families existing clergy. This position participates in local clergy associations/groups and develops and coordinated a network of clergy volunteers. The Chaplain meets productivity expectations as required. Due to business needs, the Chaplain will be required to work different shifts, teams and location as needed.
You Have:
- Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited school/seminary required. Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
- Minimum of one-year pastoral experience as a Chaplain required.
- Ordination with and an active member in good standing of denominational/ecclesiastical body.
- Alignment with the Haven mission, culture and values of collaboration, accountability, respectfulness, ethical behavior and service-driven.
- Ability to work non-judgmentally with persons of varied cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds and lifestyles.

Palatka
The Satterwhite Campus for Care and Compassion houses Haven’s Palatka Offices and the Roberts Care Center which is a state-of-the-art hospice care center expanded in 2013 to 18 private patient rooms. The care center was designed to include all of the comforts of home in a home-like environment and provides for complex medical and palliative care needs. First opened in 2003, the Roberts Hospice Care Center serves Putnam, Clay and Flagler, Volusia and St. Johns counties. The care center is located at 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka.
