Job Responsibilities:
- Hanging live birds onto overhead shackle line from live bird hanging conveyer
- Will control feed rate of hanging conveyer and flow of birds
- Transporting DOAs & dumping into dead bird take-away conveyer
- All other duties assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- Must pass risk assessment if still in 90-day probationary period
- Use of both hands & arms required
- Must stand on metal platform for up to 8 hours or more
- Must be able to tolerate dark/dusky environment
- Use full range of peripheral vision to pick up live birds & hang in shackles
- Lift 5-10 lbs with repetitive lifting, must be able to keep pace
- Must be able to handle weights more than 50 lbs periodically
- Bending, twisting, stooping, & reaching required to place birds on the line for processing
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while adhering to all Tyson policies & procedures.
- Rehires subject to a 1 year waiting period
