Public Health - Seattle & King County seeks a driven Program Manager to join the Overdose Prevention & Response (OP&R) team. This exciting role will manage two dynamic and high-impact Harm Reduction programs within the OP&R team, the Harm Reduction Vending Machine Program, and the new King County Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse (Clearinghouse). The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and scaling programs, will have experience working with the community and networks of organizations that interact people at risk of overdose, and a knowledge of Harm Reduction practices, philosophies, and supplies. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong project management, written and verbal communication skills, and supervision skills.
The Overdose Prevention and Response Team within Public Health- Seattle & King County is a dynamic group of passionate people rooted in the philosophy and practice of Harm Reduction.   • Vending Machine Program: Oversee all aspects of the vending machine program management including staff management, inventory, community partnership relationship management and communication at site locations, technical assistance, contract management, ongoing collaboration with epidemiology team on data collection for program evaluation and other related duties.
  • Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse: Manage end-to-end operations of the King County Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse including supply purchasing contracts, Redcap project management, inventory management, manage staff, bring on new community based organizations, and collaborate with internal and external partners to apply a data-focused lens to county-wide, innovative distribution efforts.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise Clearinghouse and Vending machine staff. Provide regularly structured weekly supervision meetings, oversee and support staff in successfully tracking and meeting program goals.
  • Contract Management: Manage appropriate program contracts, related invoices, amended, negotiate, and finalize contracts with subrecipients and funded partners as appropriate, ensuring alignment with funding goals and deliverables.
Other responsibilities as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social work, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience overseeing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to Public Health.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Staff supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of equity and social justice principles and practices, and understanding of the effects of place, race and policy, systems and environment-based inequities on marginalized communities and populations
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and resources.
  • Knowledge of Harm Reduction practices, philosophies, and supplies.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in public health, public administration, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Redcap

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time salaried position and is FLSA Exempt (not eligible for overtime). The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm and may include some evenings and weekends.
Work Location:
Chinook Building - 401 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104.
Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
