Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Hardware Department’s Hardware Team Members are the last line of quality control in the cabinet production process. Hardware Team Members are responsible for installing the necessary hardware for our drawers and doors and packaging the finished products to be loaded onto our delivery trucks. It is because of their creativity and ingenuity in creating new hardware installation processes that we are able to offer a more customized product to our customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

• Ability to read and comprehend order paperwork, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Ability to use various hand tools (glue guns, screw guns, drills, wood routers, etc.)
• Ability to come up with new installation processes for special projects.
• Ability to operate a Hinge Bore machine.
• Dedication to keeping a clean and well stocked working environment.
• Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

• Carpentry skills.
• Measuring skills on a tape measure to nearest 1/16th of an inch.
• Basic mathematical understanding.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Prior woodworking or cabinetry experience is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ascending or descending ladders and stepstools on a constant basis.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments on a constant basis.
• Remain standing in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time on a constant basis.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another on a constant basis.
• Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
  • Constant movement of objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional movement of objects up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
• Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Constant operation of machinery and/or power tools as assigned.
• Occasional operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
• Constant exposure to noisy environments.
• Exposure to hazardous materials, specifically chemical hazards in the form of paint thinners and solvents.
• Exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.

JOB LOCATION:

Sullivan, Illinois.

PAY SCALE:

$16.00 to $20.00 an hour. This is based on experience with the potential to increase at 30/90-day performance reviews.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 4:00PM. (47.5 hours a week).
