Hardware Integration Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Design and Development:
    1. Design and develop product solutions leveraging tablets, credit card readers, and telemetry devices, for solutions that include Smart Coolers and Micromarkets.
    2. Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts.
  • Testing and Validation:
    1. Develop test plans and procedures to validate hardware functionality and performance.
    2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct rigorous testing and resolve any issues identified.
  • Product Optimization:
    1. Work closely with the firmware and software teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
    2. Identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction without compromising performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    1. Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, test results, and validation reports.
    2. Provide regular updates on project progress and milestones.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    1. Ensure that all hardware designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    1. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, firmware developers, and product managers.
    2. Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware module integration, preferably in the field of tablets, credit card readers, or telemetry devices.
  • Experience with compliance testing and certification processes (e.g., FCC, CE, UL, CB)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication interfaces and protocols (e.g., UART, USB, Ethernet, WiFi, LTE).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, experience with Failure Mode Analysis.
