Hardware Integration Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Design and Development:
- Design and develop product solutions leveraging tablets, credit card readers, and telemetry devices, for solutions that include Smart Coolers and Micromarkets.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts.
- Testing and Validation:
- Develop test plans and procedures to validate hardware functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct rigorous testing and resolve any issues identified.
- Product Optimization:
- Work closely with the firmware and software teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction without compromising performance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, test results, and validation reports.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and milestones.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all hardware designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, firmware developers, and product managers.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware module integration, preferably in the field of tablets, credit card readers, or telemetry devices.
- Experience with compliance testing and certification processes (e.g., FCC, CE, UL, CB)
- Knowledge of industry-standard communication interfaces and protocols (e.g., UART, USB, Ethernet, WiFi, LTE).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, experience with Failure Mode Analysis.
