Position Overview:

As a Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for guests during their shopping experience. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately processing transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. This role is crucial to maintaining a positive and efficient checkout process for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:
    • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
    • Provide prompt and courteous service during the checkout process.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
  • Point-of-Sale Operations:
    • Accurately and efficiently ring up customer purchases using the cash register or other electronic systems.
    • Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment accurately.
    • Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
    • Double-check prices and ensure accuracy in the transaction process.
    • Process exchanges and returns following established procedures.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Develop a basic understanding of store products to assist customers with inquiries.
    • Collaborate with other team members to stay informed about promotions and product information.
  • Security and Loss Prevention:
    • Adhere to security and loss prevention policies to prevent theft and protect company assets.
    • Monitor and report any suspicious activities to the store management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.

Ability to handle high-stress situations and long periods of standing.
