Hours: 8-hour shifts, 10:30pm – 6:30am Sunday -Thursday
Overtime: May be drafted for 4 hours of overtime, maximum 12 hours per day; may be scheduled up to 7 days per week
The Hand Stacker is responsible for assuring that cases of product are correctly packaged (correct case, code date
and taped correctly) and stacked on a pallet of like product. Cases are stacked using pattern on the case. Accept
full responsibility for all safety procedures as stated in the JSA (Job Safety Analysis), GMPs (Good Manufacturing
Practices) and demonstrate the Hershey Values.
Summary of major duties:
1) Inspect and hand stack cases on skids or mods of like product using stacking pattern as guide
• Shrink wrap skids from top to bottom walking forward, shrink wrap is not to sit on floor.
• Notify Operator/Supervisor of problems or concerns
2) Prepare mod supplies
• Clean and organize area
• Monitor, troubleshoot and replace tape on tape machine. Must use Kevlar gloves.
3) Notify Operator/Supervisor of problems or concerns Clean and organize area
Summary of Physical Demand:
1. Repetitive use of hands, wrists, legs, back and arms: Lifting full cases 6 lb. up to 60
lbs., at a maximum of 12 cases per minute squatting/ placing cases on skid
2. Occasionally clean and organize work area by sweeping using broom with both hands, bending,
squatting to pick up debris using dustpan
3. Use one hand to hold bander to cut bands for Mods bander weight 10 lbs.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
• Must understand all lockout procedures
• Proficiency of the English language
• Possess good time management
• Ability to work independently and in group environment
Other Requirements:
• Good interpersonal team skills
• Good written and communication skills
• Proper use of required company issued uniforms, ear plugs, bump caps, safety glasses/goggles, gloves and slip resistant
safety toe shoes
• Understand and adhere to product requirements
• Participate in stretches before and during shift
• Train and assist all team members
• Perform other duties and directed and required

• Work performed in a climate controlled food manufacturing plant
Commitment Period:
• 6 Months
