SalarySummary:
Translation & Interpretation Network (TIN) is hiring fluent bilingual speakers as Independent Contractors for Onsite, Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI). Interpreter will provide interpretation in different fields such as education, medical, social services, legal, court and etc. We offer flexible schedule where you may accept or decline jobs based on your availability. The interpreter must have a professional proficiency in English and (applicable) languages. They must follow the professional Code of Ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret between English and (applicable) language.
- Interpret accurately in both languages.
- Extensive Vocabulary in both languages.
- Maintain professionalism through attitude and interpreting services.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service
- Must have reliable transportation for onsite appointments, and a reliable phone, internet connection and a quiet work environment for virtual appointments.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in English and (applicable) languages in both written and spoken forms.
- Proficient in basic computer skill including but not limited emails, scheduling system, zoom, Microsoft teams and etc.
- Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in interpreting highly preferred and/or 40+ hours of training
- Associate degree or higher.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience Interpreting in a medical setting
- Must be able to pass background check

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
