THE ROLE

We're seeking a Stylist to join our dynamic R&D team. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your primary purpose is to guarantee the excellence of our products through rigorous testing and evaluation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical Qualification of Products: Technical qualification of products under supervision on 8-10 clients daily, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Daily Test Workflow Management: Plan and organize the daily workflow of product testing activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
• Model Scheduling and Test Evaluation: Create schedules and plans for model testing, as well as evaluate test results for clients, providing comprehensive assessments.
• Results Communication: Evaluate & summarize data, interpret unexpected results/observations & recommend next stepsCommunicate results both orally & in writing to manager and key project members
• Innovation Research: Research new products and innovative ideas to enhance the innovation platform, staying up to date with industry trends.
• Project Acceleration: Utilize extensive knowledge to expedite projects and innovations, contributing to faster development and implementation.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment, actively seek opportunities for skill development, and explore innovative ways to enhance the salon's capabilities.
• Client Panel Expansion: Interview clients to expand the panel size, ensuring a diverse and representative sample for testing and research purposes.
• Special Events: Provide hair services for special event and VIP's.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

• Cosmetologist License for New York: A mandatory requirement, demonstrating legal compliance and competence in cosmetology within the state of New York.
• Passion for Hair Color: Demonstrate a passion for hair color and hair care- working in the industry with an in-depth & up-to-date knowledge of color products, trends, and fashions.
• Problem-Solving Drive: Driven to identify & address problems and deliver solutions, overcoming issues & obstacles.
• Proactive Nature: Seek out opportunities to learn & develop skills and to find new ways to deliver responsibilities that improve the Salon's capability.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate good communication skills needed to maintain excellent client relationships.
• Pride in Excellence: Take pride in delivering their responsibilities and enjoy working as part of a Salon team to deliver outstanding products.
• Computer Proficiency: . Possess fundamental computer skills and ability to navigate proprietary database to enter data and results.
• Proactive Mindset: . Follow existing test procedures and suggest new ways to improve them.
• Multitasking Capability: Ability to multi-task and take on additional responsibilities based on business needs
• Hair Care and Styling Experience: Experience in hair color, hair care and styling
• Physical Endurance: Requires standing on surfaces for long periods of time and physical activity

Desirable Attributes:

• Knowledge Utilization: Uses his /her excellent knowledge in order to accelerate projects and innovations

• Technical Expertise: Within his/her project team is the competent partner for all technical and hairdresser related questions

• Team Player: Team oriented. Is in touch with the organization to share knowledge and is open for changes.

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
