SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Remain readily available to students to provide individual counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding and maturity. Counseling may be provided to a student individually or in a small group setting during times of transition, heightened stress, critical change or other situations impending student success.
Teach the school counseling curriculum to students focused on student success through classroom SEL push in lessons.
Plan, facilitate and organize counseling groups with students.
Work with students in evolving education and occupation plans assessing student abilities, interests, and achievement to help them make decisions about their future.
Guide students in their participation in school and community activities.
Maintain student records and protect their confidentiality.
Member of the building team committed to advancing equitable academic, career and social/emotional development for all.
Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other support staff regarding the child's program and any adaptations/materials needed to facilitate improved performance in the classroom or at home.
