Guest Services Associate Lush Vineyards and unmatched hospitality describe the Geyserville Inn, tucked amidst the picturesque vineyards and mountains of Sonoma County's Alexander Valley. We are the quintessential Northern California Wine Country getaway and the only area hotel located in a vineyard. Locally owned and operated by two generations of Christensen family members, the Inn blends all the comfort and elegance of a contemporary boutique hotel with the intimacy, warmth and unhurried ambiance of a rustic bed and breakfast.

Position Summary: We are looking for a full time Guest Services Associate to join our team and give our guests the ultimate getaway experience they are looking for. Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the Guest Services Associate is responsible for the operation of the front desk by offering an efficient, friendly and courteous reception experience to all guests of the Inn. The Guest Services Associate will also maximize occupancy by maintaining room rates in order to achieve the highest possible revenues while informing all relevant departments of guest's special needs or requirements.

When we need you: Front Desk 1: 2:00 - 10:00 pm (2 PM shifts per week) Front Desk 2: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (3 AM shifts per week) What You'll Do: Graciously attends to individual and group arrivals in accordance with check-in procedures Check arrivals list against correspondence to ensure all information and documents are in order Manage difficult situations effectively to meet Geyserville Inn service standards Ensure that all VIP's are escorted to their rooms Ensure that individual and group departures are settled with the pre-arranged method of payment Work closely with the housekeeping department and maintaining the room status report Coordinate requests for maintenance and repair work Maintain product knowledge of room types, room positioning, current rates, facilities and services within the Inn. Ability to offer and sell Inn amenities to guests when required Receive and handle telephone and verbal inquiries, and ensures that all messages are taken and distributed to the correct parties Comply with Geyserville Inn's regulations when completing internal banking procedures ensuring that the figures are correct and that all back-up documentation is attached Maintain reception desk and lobby area File correspondence and paperwork Enforces company policies such as noise ordinance, pool closure, pet/smoking policies (etc.) when necessary Meets and exceeds customers' and coworkers expectations by providing excellent service and teamwork Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations Keeps supervisor full informed of all problems or matters of significance Excellent memory of important details, requests, and changes made by guests and management Habitually takes detailed notes and communicates those notes effectively during shift-change Knows all safety and emergency procedures, and is aware of accident prevention policies Attends appropriate staff meetings Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment Projects a favorable image of Geyserville Inn to the public at all times Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Previous hotel-related experience desired Required Skills: Must possess excellent attention to detail, and a high level of organization Ability to multi-task, follow through and re-prioritize to meet deadlines on multiple projects Excellent oral and written and communication skills Demonstrates ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks Ability to quickly problem solve and make sensible decisions Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by guests who visit the hotel Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with all Luxe Hotel standards Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs Compensation: $16-$18/hour DOE Department: Front Desk This is a full time position
