Guest Services Assistant
Shift: Flexible

With 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and event facilities, en-suite guest rooms, and multiple dining rooms, Columbia Club provides a unique and distinguished experience. Job Responsibilities:
· Trains, cross-trains and retrains all front desk personnel.
· Maintains effective relationships and communication with all other departments.
· Monitors master key control procedures.
· Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated to ensure maximum revenue.
· Resolves member and guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.
· Upholds the club’s commitment to hospitality.
· Receives information from the previous shift and passes on pertinent information to the incoming shift.
· Ensures that all check-cashing and credit policies are followed.
· In the absence of the concierge provides concierge-type services to guests.
· Handles all hotel and room reservations, cancellations, no-shows and billings.
· Expedites member and guest check-ins and departures.
· Informs housekeeping and engineering departments as problems arise.
· Works front desk daily while supervising staff.
· Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Guest Services manager.
Qualifications:
Work Experience:
· High School diploma or general equivalence diploma (G.E.D.)

Overtime and Job Requirements:
· Must be available and willing to work a flexible schedule
· Must be available to work some weekends and holidays
· Overtime is required on an as-needed basis
