RESPONSIBILITIES OF A LEAD GUEST SERVICE AGENT

As a Shift Leader, you will coordinate and execute administrative and operational tasks to ensure that our guests have a seamless length of stay from check-in to check-out. Here are some of the key responsibilities you can expect in this role:

 

  • Process Reservations (arrival/departure)

As a Shift Leader, you will oversee room assignment processing, room preparation, and check-outs to ensure timely room turnaround times without sacrificing quality of service. As guests arrive, you will process and update reservations; prepare registration cards and key packets; and complete reports timely.  As they leave, you will calculate folios; collect payment, and balance cash drawer(s) accurately.

  • Assist with General Maintenance Issues

Another key responsibility will be to assist our Facilities team with general maintenance concerns by following up on IMPAK work requests and ensuring repairs are completed satisfactory. You will coordinate cleaning and pest control services, refrigerator cleaning, and monitor common storage and kitchen areas including space assignment, key issuance, inspections, item removals, and room accessibility.

  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service

All Shift Leaders ensure that our guests receive exceptional customer service by answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and addressing concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.  They interact with empathy by going above and beyond to exceed their expectations, anticipating their needs, and providing personalized service that makes them feel valued and appreciated.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED FOR THE ROLE

To be considered for the role of a Guest Service Agent Shift Leader, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:

 

  • Previous Work Experience

You will need to have a minimum of two years of hospitality, customer service, or other-related work experience that includes working closely with an adult population of various ages, ethnic and professional backgrounds, and personalities. Experience should also reflect a strong understanding of Guest Service, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and the ability to lead a small team of employees.

  • Excellent Communication Skills

You will need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members and be able to provide clear and concise instructions in a professional manner.

  • Attention to Detail

You will need to have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to spot issues and take corrective action before they become bigger problems.
