Summary of Position
This role exists to provide leadership, strategic direction, and shepherding to the GuestXP Volunteers & Leaders, for the purpose of creating a highly relational, welcoming environment.

Primary Functions

• Cast vision for excellence for Guest Experience Teams with an emphasis on welcoming, informing, and serving every guest on Sundays and for special events.
• Execute weekend (and special event) environments that are intentional and engaging
• Execute service elements as well as set-up & tear-down for special CSP (Clear Simple Path - Gateway’s assimilation strategy) events
• Assist in the ideation of the physical spaces & aesthetics for Guest Experience
• Assist in the ideation and execution of holidays and themed special events
• Create a Connect & Guest Experience culture by providing leadership, strategic direction, and shepherding to Connect & Guest Experience Teams, Volunteers, Emerging Leaders, and Coaches
• Ensure team members are current on Gateway happenings and CSP strategy to be able to step into conversations with guests.
• Manage processes and pathways for volunteer teams and assist in communication to volunteers & leaders for relational care as well as recruit, train, and retain volunteers.
• Oversees assimilation pipeline of on-onboarding new volunteers
• Oversees scheduling for teams and ensures appropriate staffing for each Sunday and/or Special Event
• Network between ministry departments as well as outward facing campus communications in an effort to continue to help people take steps on the CSP (Clear, Simple Path).
• Helps host guests at Starting Gate each month
• Partner with Ops & Facilities Departments and teams with areas of GuestXP for weekday and weekend events.

Secondary Function

• Partner with Connect Director on departmental budget & ensure good stewardship of resources

Desired Qualifications/Skills

• Track record of pastorally shepherding volunteers
• Highly relational & approachable; someone who loves meeting people and helping them
• Detail oriented
• Experience leading teams
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate

Spiritual Qualifications

• Must have an intimate and growing relationship with Christ
• Must become a leader at Gateway Church (or be willing to complete Gateway’s leadership process)
• Model standards and expectations of a leader at Gateway Church

Working Conditions and Other Information

• Sunday through Thursday schedule with added responsibilities for holidays and special events as assigned
• Required attendance at All Staff meetings
• Easter- all hands-on deck for Saturday/Sunday services and events
• Christmas- all hands-on deck for our Christmas services and events
• Throwdown (Super Bowl Weekend)- all hands-on deck for Saturday/Sunday services and events
• Annual All Staff Retreat- dates are subject to change but typically fall sometime in the spring
• Annual Leadership huddle- dates are subject to change but typically fall sometime in August
• Attend all functions that we require of our Gateway Leaders (i.e. Leadership Community, etc.)
